General Skilled Migration

Dreaming of gaining permanent residency, one of the best ways to achieve your goal is through general skilled migration, which consists of different visa subclasses:

  • Subclass 189 - Skilled Independent Visa

  • Subclass 190 - State or Territory Nominated Visa

  • Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491)

  • Subclass 191 - Permanent Residence (Skilled Regional) Visa

General skilled migration is solely based on receiving an invitation from the Australian Federal Government or through one of the States or Territories. It involves several stages, starting with obtaining a skills assessment and registering your expression of interest.

However, due to the ever-changing policies and updates in Australian immigration, it can be challenging to keep up with the latest changes and understand how they may affect your situation. That's where we come in. With our years of experience and comprehensive strategy guide, we will be there to help you not only secure your invitation but also achieve your permanent residency goal.

Employer-Sponsored Visa

Whether you are an employer seeking corporate services or a skilled individual aiming to obtain a work visa or an employer-sponsored visa, our team is here to support you. We specialise in Subclass 400, 482 and 186 Permanent Residency visas, as well as the Training Visa Subclass 407. There has never been a better opportunity to pursue permanent residency through work visas, as the Albanese government has implemented significant changes that now offer definite PR pathways for most work visa professionals.

Appeals Against Refusals and Cancellations

Judge's Table

We understand that things don’t always go as planned in the immigration world. If your visa has been refused or cancelled onshore, you may have the option to apply for a  review with Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) within an allowable timeframe.

In general, you must lodge your refusal appeal to the AAT within 21 days and a cancellation appeal within 7 days. However, the timeframe can vary depending on the type of decision and the method by which you were notified of the decision.

If the appeal is not lodged within this timeframe, you will, in general lose your right to review. While it is not ideal to have your visa refused or cancelled, as they come with a load of complexity, and emotional and viatical burdens, not getting a proper strategy and guidance can be even more fatal.

At Koala Solutions, we live and breathe immigration law, and with a very passionate, articulate and dedicated migration agent, you will be a step closer to resolving your case.
